At Safe Place Pet and Family Network, we believe no one should have to choose between their safety and the safty of the pet they love. Our mission is to preserve the sacred bond between pets and their people by providing a vital bridge to security and professional advocacy. Together, we ensure that every member of the family reaches a soft landing and the fresh start they deserve."

Our story
Safe Place Pet & Family Network was founded from a deep understanding of the challenges families face and the unbreakable bond they share with their pets. Based in Venice, Florida, our nonprofit is dedicated to providing temporary pet care and compassionate support during times of crisis—so no one has to choose between their own safety and the safety of the pet they love.
Our mission was inspired by lived experience and the heartbreaking reality that too many families are forced to leave their beloved pets in an unsafe environment simply because help isn't available when they need it most. We believe every family deserves hope, compassion, and the chance to stay together while they rebuild their lives.
Together, we're building a community where pets remain with the families who love them o r in a safe environment —because no one should face a crisis alone.
